At a glance Alhaj Mohammad Ali Miah
The late Alhaj Mohammad Ali Mia was born in 1930 in a Muslim family in Devnagar village of Ramganj upazila under Noakhali district. His father's name was Mohammad Anshar Ali Khandaker. Mother's name is Phulbanu. Ali Mia was the eldest of the two siblings.
Ali, a 9/9 year old boy, weeds in the paddy and jute fields of the village farmers in the hope of helping the orphaned siblings and himself in the spirit of helping the poor and oppressed parents in the face of endless poverty.
Ali Mia's later life was the first manifestation of his desire to lead the masses, to develop his personality and talents.
Ali, a 10/12-year-old boy, was so shocked that he left his homeland and migrated from East Pakistan to neighboring India with an indomitable desire to relieve the grief of his parents.
In 1971, 70,000 Muslims forcibly crossed the then Sylhet and Comilla districts of East Pakistan. Ali Mia was also forced to leave India at that time. The unfortunate Ali and his friend Gafur again perished and took refuge in the Pakistani refugee camp.
The mysterious and varied second chapter of Ali's storytelling life begins after his arrival at Ramgarh in the Chittagong Hill Tracts. Ali went from house to house for two handfuls of food. Towards the end of 1972, Ramgarh sub-divisional administrator Ali decided to send 200 families to Fansiakhali mouza under Lama police station.
Leadership Pipasu Ali Mia entered the Fansiakhali mouza with two hundred rehabilitated families. There were about 2200 people in his group. Ali Mia from Ramgarh came to Fansiakhali mouza of Lama upazila with 200 families. Seeing the environmental situation there, it occurred to Ali that Ali was the first to come here from the beginning of the creation of the world. With 13 families, Ali Mia bravely ignored the snarls of wild beasts and beasts and all the Badavis fled from the deep cave of death in the deep forest.
In 1972, Ali Mia became an uncontested member of the Lama Union Council with the overwhelming support of the tribal people. Member Ali Mia knows that in order to serve the people, one must first be self-sufficient. It is very difficult and difficult for the needy to do public service.
In the first Union Parishad elections of Bangladesh after independence in 1973-74, he was elected Vice Chairman of the Lama Union Parishad by a large margin.
In 1975, when the government took the initiative to make the decentralization of the administration a success by handing over the responsibility to the elected representatives of the people in the local government system, the people nominated Ali Mia to stand for election for a good reason.
